A few recipes:

Fungicide

  • 2 to 3 teaspoons - baking soda
  • 2 to 3 Tablespoons - Oil
  • 1 gallon clean water
  • Spray bottle works well.
  • Don't use if humidity % and Fahrenheit degree numbers add up to 140 or more. Might "burn" the leaves.

  • Slug spray

  • Ammonia - clear NON-sudsing
  • 1/3 ammonia to 2/3's water
  • Spray on the slugs (like salt) in evening and morning, or if you are checking under rocks and heavy growth where they hide during the day.
  • Use sparingly around new plant growth, don't spray in the heat of the day.
  • Try silica sand in a wide band around your plants to slow down the slug attacks. Won't mold and safe for kids and cats!

  • Window cleaner

  • 1 Tablespoon - White Vinegar
  • 1 Quart - Water
  • Use in spray bottle.
  • Less streaks and film than ammonia products - but gets the dirt and finger prints off.
